wilderness sisters Situated on Wolseley Bay on the Middle French River, French River Adventures offers services to anyone who wants to escape their car and discover the French River. Whether you would like to canoe, kayak, hike, fish, picnic or otherwise enjoy this extraordinarily beautiful and sparsely populated region, we can help. Our outfitting services range from canoe and kayak rentals to route planning and even rental of our Montreal (Voyageur) canoe. We also organize programs including gourmet picnic lunches, hiking routes and fishing expeditions.

Given our unique location at the Lodge at Pine Cove, consider beginning or ending your journey with a night or two in a private cottage in the Lodge's luxurious beds—a well-earned reward especially if your adventure involves time in a tent.

And what better way to get started then by joining us for a coffee, tea or biscotti at the Bow Draw Café, or ending your trip with a cold beer in Rioux's Bar?

leaving Four hours north of the Greater Toronto Area and 30 minutes east of the intersection of highways 69 & 64 (map), French River Adventures is close at hand, yet a world away. Our location allows you to launch from our sandy beach or from our designated canoe dock directly onto the river and enjoy routes that range from an hour to several days or even weeks. Or use our Water Taxi to get even nearer to the start of your chosen route.

Created in 2000, French River Adventures builds on years of canoeing, kayaking and hiking experience. We know the French River well and would love to help you Discover the French River.

We welcome both Lodge guests and non-guests alike.
